PlantLen is designed with your privacy as the top priority. We believe your personal data should remain private and secure.

Cloud Processing Only

All app features—including plant identification, health checks, reminders, and collections—are processed on our secure cloud servers. No data is analyzed locally on your device. This means:

• Your plant photos and care data are sent securely to our cloud for processing and identification
• No identification happens on your device; all features rely on a network connection
• Results and collections are synced and stored on cloud servers for reliability and convenience

Data Collection

We collect data required to provide plant identification and app features, manage purchases, and support advertising. Specifically:

• Plant photos: Transmitted and processed on cloud servers, used solely for identification and plant care
• Usage data: Collected for analytics, product improvement, and troubleshooting
• Ad data: Advertising partners may collect anonymized data related to ad display, clicks, and app usage
• Purchase info: Lifetime unlock purchases are handled via Apple/Google and verified cloud-side; no direct payment data is collected by OWLMYST
• Account data: If you create an account, basic profile data (email, login) is stored securely on our servers

Permissions

PlantLen requests only the minimum required to function, but network access is mandatory.

• Camera Access: To capture new plant photos for cloud identification
• Photo Library Access: To upload existing images to cloud for processing
• Notifications: For reminders about plant care and watering
• Network Access: Required at all times for using the app’s features

Permissions can be managed in your device settings; disabling network or media access will limit functionality.

Third-Party Services

PlantLen uses external providers for AI identification, ads, analytics, and purchase validation.

• Plant Identification Cloud API: All photos and queries processed externally
• Ad Networks (e.g., Google AdMob, Apple Advertising): For monetization, ads may use device/user analytics
• App Store APIs: Apple/Google handle lifetime purchase validation and may collect transaction data
• Analytics Providers: Monitor app usage, crash, and engagement data

Data Storage

• Plant collections, care schedules, and identified results: Stored on secure cloud servers
• Personal account data (if account is created): Encrypted and stored on our database
• Purchase history: Managed via app stores, not stored by OWLMYST
• Ad/usage/analytics data: Stored and processed by relevant third-party partners per their policies

Children’s Privacy

PlantLen is not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
